As a P&C Actuarial Consultant, you will be responsible for managing/delivering on a variety of projects including IFRS 17, pricing & predictive analytics, reserve valuation, RBC, merger & acquisitions etc for our P&C clients mainly across Asia. You will be responsible for reviewing the analysis and explaining the results, and will work closely with other analysts/consultants and the project lead to ensure timely delivery of projects. In addition to project delivery, you will also be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the project manager, ensuring the progress of the team against established project scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact to clients on delivery of services, while managing client expectations
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary consulting team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Participate in business development activities and work with the team to develop go-to-market propositions. You may be supporting in business development activities across all our areas of expertise.
  • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workstreams and client teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
  • 4 - 10 years of general insurance experience, preferably with some consulting or regional experience. Less experienced candidates may be considered for more junior positions
  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary from recognised International Actuarial Bodies
  • Strong technical understanding and working experience in IFRS 17, reserving, pricing and/or M&A
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
  • Able to see the "big picture" and think beyond the task at hand and understand how one's work fits into the broader landscape
