Our client is a reputable Insurance Group that providing a wide variety of life insurance products and services. They are looking for Actuarial Senior Manager/Associate Director level to support their Actuarial Reporting team in Hong Kong.

About the team:

You will report to the Department Head, working closely with different teams, business heads and CA to perform your role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team Lead to ensure a smooth transition for IFRS17 requirements and operationalize this in the normal BAU process. This includes the formulation of a long term IFRS17 product strategy and setting out the clear business implications of IFRS17 to prepare the management team of this new standard and refine the business model.
  • Understand the drivers behind all key financial reporting metrics (including international GAAP, local statutory, IFRS17, HK Risk Based Capital, Value of New Business), and continuously look for and design innovative ideas and solutions to further optimize these metrics.
  • Support the Valuation Actuary to oversee experience study methodology and application. This includes the review of methodology and the recommendation of assumption from experience studies, and the impact and application of the assumptions to valuation and different reporting metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science or any related disciplines
  • Qualified actuary - FSA, FCIA, FIA , FIAA or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of working experience within life insurance industry
  • Technically solid with solid relevant experience in working on the key actuarial and financial metrics
  • Good planning, project management and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate initiative, commitment, and high level of creativity for proposing recommendations for improving current processes
  • Can work independently and in an agile manner with minimal supervision
