I'm recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join an Insurance firm based in Bristol. This is a 6 month fixed term contract based in the office 2 days per week/3 days working from home.
The role:
Ensuring month-end accounting processes are performed to deadline to facilitate a well-controlled financial reporting close process.
- Posting accounting journal entries, performing Balance Sheet reconciliations and other financial control activities as required.
- Supporting other members of the Finance department as required, including other members of the Technical Accounting team and the Transaction Processing team.
- Maintaining complete and correct accounting records to support the business' wider financial needs and reporting requirements.
The candidate:
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of a month-end close culture of meeting deadlines, ensuring robust financial control and taking responsibility for the quality of work produced.
- You will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to solve problems and improve processes.
- Ideally, you will be a part-qualified accountant, with working knowledge of SAP and strong MS Excel skills.
