Experience required:
- Experience in a consulting or financial services firm would be ideal, with a focus on life insurance, annuities / retirement, and / or experience in the pensions sector
- Nearly or recently completed the exams for FIA/FFA qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in financial modelling and cash flow analysis
- Knowledge of Solvency II requirements
- Experience of successfully managing projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Well-developed verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Strong analytical and creative skills
- Enjoy training/mentoring junior staff
BPA Pricing Senior Actuary - Responsibilities:
- Lead pricing discussions with awareness of actuarial and commercial considerations
- Recommend actuarial bases and undertake analysis of policyholder / member data and develop insights into appropriate assumptions
- Responsible for modelling, analysing and reviewing cash flows, and managing the models and tools (in both a maintenance and development capacity)
- Deliver superior, consistent project management
