Cloud Data Engineer | Lloyds Insurer | London

My client is a Leading Lloyds market Insurance firm based in London and they are looking to appoint a Cloud Data Engineer to join their Tech and Transfiormation Team working on a number of Cloud and Data Initiatives within the firm.

Role:

  • Develop the architecture, tools, procedures and methods employed in the operating environment in line with technical advances and business requirements
  • Assist in the design of the data warehouse, integrating data from various sources to deliver value to the business
  • Deal with complex data, source and target tables mappings, load process, transformation, reconciliation, error handling, physical and logical data dimensional modelling
  • Assist in the construction and optimisation of the cloud based data platform
  • Create solutions in response to data requirements (Data quality, Data mapping, Metadata management, Migration and Reporting solutions)
  • Ensure that developments are carried out in accordance with established Company IT procedures and standards. Participate in the establishment of development procedures and standards
  • Take responsibility for the support and maintenance of existing applications and systems as assigned

Skills:

  • Experience with Advanced SQL
  • Experience with Cloud platfroms (AWS, AZUre, GCP)
  • Data integration tollls such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica or similar
  • Star schema modelling
  • Power BI
  • Snowflake
