Chief Technology Office | Medical Technology | Basel (3 Days Remote) | Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Switzerland's leading medical technology companies who are expanding their product across Europe. This company experienced a high volume of usage during covid and have continued to grow since; currently they have 250+ employees overall and 50-60 in their tech team. This will soon increase as they have big growth plans for the development team.
In this role you will not only shape the entire technical division but also the direction of the product, while this is a medium sized company they are looking for CTO who can work in a fast paced and changing environment. It will be your responsibility to organise the hierarchy/structure of the different teams to ensure cross-collaboration and that teams have a clear mission for the product.
The ideal candidate will come from a software background and have experience implementing cutting edge technologies including cloud features. You will be migrating a legacy solution to a new platform that will cover a greater distance so it is not a simple lift & shift job. Candidates should have 8+ years experience in medium to large companies and be able to manage stakeholders on a daily basis. Communication is an essential part for this role and candidates must be fluent in English and B2+ in German.

Responsibilities:
- Driving technical decisions and visions
- Manage C level stakeholders on a daily basis
- Recruit and build teams from scratch
- Identify skill gaps in teams and recruit staff to fill these gaps
- Define product road-map and ensure it is effectively communicated across the department
- Evaluate new technologies and oversee it's implementation
- Define recruitment process
