They have identify the opportunity to accelerate the use of technology to provide deeper and actionable insights into customer needs and preferences. We are currently with them to find them a Senior Manager- Data Management, who will be working on the data model design for their data analytics platform for IFRS 17 and their up-coming Cloud Transformation project.
Job Description
- Lead and support data governance and controls activities, ensure data practices comply with AIA group data management standards
- Design data model and structures for data analytics platform
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders on data architecture design and implementation
- Gather, analyze and assess business requirements, review functional specifications and evaluate impacts to architecture and solution design, process and business decision support
- Drive the delivery of data that are required by business for analytics purpose
- Create proper data documentations
- Manage internal and external vendors to deliver timely and good quality system support
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in data management (data extraction, data governance, data quality assurance etc), data modeling, database application development in insurance or financial services industry
Skills
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, data lineage, data dictionary and architecture
- Sound knowledge of programming in SQL or other database programming experience
- Experience in Cloud-based big data environment and tools is a plus
- Strong business sense in actuarial and finance, with good communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
