Data Management Lead | Data Modelling | London

My client is a London Market Insurance firm based in London and they are looking to appoint a Data Management Lead to join their Information and Data team in and setup an implementation delivery roadmap for Solidatus across the firm.

Role:

  • Work with members of the Information & Data Management team in order to successfully deliver against the department's objectives.
  • Oversee delivery of Solidatus and provide regular feedback on success.
  • Work with business SMEs in developing Solidatus models. Collect and document requirements from a business perspective for underlying models.
  • Establish best practices for implementing Solidatus models
  • Create a 'How to' artefact for implementing Solidatus
  • Establish and run a BAU process for managing Solidatus models
  • Manage the distribution and usage of Solidatus licenses both from an author and a read only point of view.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory matters and internal policies relevant to the data management.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation in relation to data comprehension activities.

Skills:

  • Experience of Solidatus (or similar) software and supporting business practices
  • An understanding of both data management and data governance policies and principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders and able to build relationships across the organisation.
  • Able to analyse large volumes of data quickly and understand how data flows through typical industry practices.
  • Understanding of the usage of data specific to an Insurance company.
  • A high level of proficiency with common reporting and analysis tools (e.g. SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, DQ analysis tools).
  • Sound report writing skills; able to appropriately select, tailor and present information to different audiences.
  • MS Office suite skills.
