Our global consulting client is seeking to recruit an experienced and reputable Data Protection & Privacy Director (DPO). The role will carry a UK-wide (and potentially occasional European) remit - and, while based remotely to begin with, will gravitate to their London HQ in due course. The role will pay a c£140-160,000 basic salary plus extras.

The role will carry a UK-wide (and potentially occasional European) remit - and, while based remotely to begin with, will gravitate to their London HQ in due course. The role will pay a c£140-160,000 basic salary plus extras.

Your role

Making your mark within a client-facing environment, you will;

  • Lead your own engagements and build productive relationships with client stakeholders
  • Act as a thought leader and a catalyst for business development as you build the profile of our privacy practice
  • Taking a leading role in driving our sales pipeline for new and exciting engagements
  • Develop the practice by contribution to expert articles, public speaking engagements and the implementation and delivery of new privacy services

Your professional experience

  • Well versed in delivering privacy and data projects, you'll be fully familiar with the GDPR and have knowledge of ePrivacy as well as keeping an eye on emerging regulations.
  • Comfortable with delivering a suit of privacy services including maturity assessment, operating models and strategy, privacy and ethics by design, training and awareness, consent management, information security disciplines and technologies and more. You will be keen to demonstrate what you can do.
  • You can see the bigger picture and link privacy to risk management, data and digital strategies and business objectives.
  • Your creative mindset will enable you to solve clients' key issues.
  • You will bring innate ability to lead teams, inspire colleagues and act as a trusted business adviser.
  • You'll be keen to increase the eminence of the Deloitte Privacy practice and engage with high profile clients.
