Job description

External & Regulatory Reporting (E&RR) is looking for a reporting employee to expand and strengthen the department. The E&RR department is responsible for all external financial reports of the insurer. This includes the IFRS annual reports, the group reports to the parent company and the supervisory reports to DNB.

As a reporting employee you have an important role in making these reports. You enjoy dealing with various issues and reports (Dutch Gaap, IFRS and Solvency II). Your internal customers are very diverse, including the Risk, Accounting, IT and Corporate Communication department. You know how to build good relationships within your own team.

Activities & responsibilities:

  • Preparing parts of the annual report of main office of the Netherlands and a number of its subsidiaries (IFRS), including half-yearly reports and press releases.
  • Preparing supervisory reports to DNB for the insurance subsidiaries (Solvency II)
  • Preparing group reports for the parent company (IFRS, US GAAP).
  • Assessing the mutual consistency between the various reports.
  • Ensuring proper reporting files and internal controls.
  • Contribute to data capture, collection and interpretation processes using reporting software and data warehousing.
  • Implementing changes in reporting as a result of changes in legislation and regulations.

Finance

The Finance column at the insurer is responsible for the financial management of the insurer in a broad sense. This concerns financial planning and control (operational plan, capital and liquidity planning) as well as internal and external financial reports (management information, reporting and reporting to regulators) as well as balance sheet management, treasury and tax matters.

The financial function of the insurer consists of the business units Control, Finance Accounting & Reporting, Risk Reporting, Balance Sheet Management and Tax Affairs.

Requirements

  • Completed HBO/WO education in a financial-business or accountancy direction.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, gained within accountancy (big 4) or at a financial institution in an international environment.
  • Affinity with business intelligence, data and IT (knowledge of BI tooling and data quality processes is a plus).
  • Experience in preparing annual and supervisory reports.
  • Good command of the English language, both orally and in writing.

You are analytically very strong and you have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You are also proactive and enterprising, and you are able to work on a project basis. You are a true connector and able to act at different levels within the entire organization. You have a good sense of humor.
