Team

For a multinational leading client, we're looking for Financial Accountants. They specialise in cold chain logistics with a focus on the development and operation of large, highly automated cold stores. As one of the fastest growing companies in cold chain logistics, they are expanding their teams to support this growth. The role takes place in the SSC in their HQ in Brabant. You will be accompanied by 13 colleagues taking care of all accounting and record to report activities. The team is expected to grow in the future as a result of the company growth.

The position

You will be working in close collaboration with the regional controller and an AP/PO. Next to that you will collaborate with other team members both national and international on improving the way of working by standardising, simplifying, and automating.

Daily tasks

  • Manage several entities located around the globe for the day-to-day accounting under tight deadlines and in line with the policies and guidelines for the SSC.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing in line with the SSC closing checklist.
  • Analysis and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (including sub-ledgers bank, AR and Registration of pay-rolling.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Preparation of vendor payments.
  • Preparation of audit documentation (together with country controllers).
  • Assist in various improvement projects for the SSC team.

Job requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous financial accounting in an international organisation with several foreign group companies.
  • In possession of a BSc of MSc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can take on multiple projects/tasks and problem solver.
  • Highly experienced with Excel and other Microsoft software.
  • Experienced with Power-BI is a bonus.
