Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking to hire a Head of Professional Practices for their audit team based in New York.

In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical part in leading the Professional Practice function for the U.S. jurisdiction. They will be responsible for the end-to-end development, implementation, and ongoing execution of functions within the Professional Practice team, working closely with the Canadian and Non-U.S. Professional Practice Audit teams. The role involves managing various teams such as Methodology and Strategy, Training and Skills Assessment, Stakeholder Reporting & Regulatory Management, Workforce Management, Quality Assurance & Improvement Program, and more.

The hiring manager is eager to work with and develop the successful candidate to ensure effective execution and implementation of the bank's strategic priorities and initiatives. The role also includes delivering an effective Data Analytics strategy and building strong relationships within the Audit Senior Management Team.

Successful applicants will have:

  • An undergraduate degree is required, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Professional Accreditation such as Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Regulatory Compliance Specialist, or Certified Internal Auditor is an asset.
  • 15+ years of related experience, with a preference for Internal and/or External Audit Professional Practice and Methodology experience.
  • Proven ability to manage high-performing teams and the capacity to lead and influence across the bank with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environments and expertise in driving innovation and transformation.
