Helpdesk Support Engineer - New York City - 6 Month Contract to Hire

We are seeking candidates for a Helpdesk Support Engineer role to provide high quality PC support services to end users via remote, telephone or desk-side. If you are extremely smart, analytical, good with people, motivated, technology savvy and a team player we would like to hear from you.

Helpdesk Support Engineer - New York City - 6 Month Contract to Hire

Responsibilities

* Support end-users and troubleshoot a range of issues, including Windows 10, email, network access, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, security software, and laptop/mobile hardware

* Manage user laptop, accounts, email, and mobile device setup

* Hardware, software, and peripheral installation

* Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues

* Assist the infrastructure team with ad-hoc duties, including the smooth operation of the office infrastructure including LAN, Wi-Fi, and video conferencing equipment

* Position will require 2-3 working days at NY office

Desired Skills & Expertise Candidates should have the following background, skills, and characteristics:

* Information Technology or related major with 3-5 years of experience in a Windows OS support position

* Strong Windows 10 and laptop hardware installation and troubleshooting skills

* Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, including Microsoft 365 Exchange administration

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook is essential)

* Experience configuring mobile devices, including Android and iPhone

* Experience working with ServiceNow or ServiceDesk (Jira) ticketing system

* Basic understanding of TCP/IP for network connectivity troubleshooting

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Experience with Powershell
