We are currently working with a growing organisation in the financial services industry to recruit an Operational Excellence Manager to join the team in their Manchester office. This person will lead the strategy and operational excellence academy in the business and needs to live and breathe Lean Agile and systems thinking!
Operational Excellence Manager - Academy Lead role :
- Develop and define a Continuous Improvement syllabus for various levels of the organization.
- Facilitate the development of Continuous Improvement skills among practitioners and the general population based on the defined syllabus.
- Define and implement an accreditation approach for Operational Excellence.
- Create and maintain standard materials for building Continuous Improvement capability.
- Facilitate the maintenance of Operational Excellence design standards across the organization, ensuring appropriate change control.
- Lead a sustainability forum to review Workplace Assessment outputs for consistency and share best practices.
- Lead Operational Excellence projects to achieve defined targets and ensure sustainability.
- Support the Operational Excellence team in fostering a culture of excellence through coaching and mentoring.
- Foster an open and collaborative culture by building effective working relationships and influencing all levels of the business.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory procedures to improve risk management and audit performance.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Operational Excellence Manager - Academy Lead role :
- Lean/Six-Sigma/Process Re-engineering/Continuous Improvement specialist with a proven track record of practical application.
- Experience in developing internal capabilities for a culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Design and delivery of Continuous Improvement materials across various organizational levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to align different perspectives and move forward.
- Disciplined with clear plans and excellent execution capabilities.
- Experienced in leading cultural change and managing people and projects in high-pressure environments.
- Collaborative and able to articulate communication workflows.
- Strong technical Continuous Improvement skills with a track record of delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong influencing and persuasion skills to overcome objections and negotiate outcomes.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Solid understanding of lean, Six-Sigma, and systems thinking principles.
- Good understanding of Company objectives, operations, and specific regulatory requirements
