This role will support the team on implementing the pricing strategy through pricing models, reporting and portfolio management and translating results in actionable knowledge to achieve business objectives for the company. With experience of rating making processes, performance and impact monitoring, the successful candidate will possess a good understanding of personal line pricing in HK market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting regular product development and revamp by performing product rate analysis and statistical modelling. Preparing product paper and liaising with different departments for product approval and launch
- Undertaking competitor analysis and market trend analysis to maintain and improve existing pricing models and assist with updating pricing structures.
- Performing regular statistical analysis to understand our portfolio performance and risk exposure. Producing analysis on a range of key performance indicators to improve Insurance product performance.
REQUIREMENT
- Minimum 4+ years' experience working in an actuarial role, preferably in General Insurance.
- Competent with Microsoft Excel & other analytical tools, and knowledge of a programming language e.g., SAS, VBA or R would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems
- Strong data interpretation skills when working with large volumes of complex data
- Experience in actuarial modeling or other statistical data analytic tools would be an advantage
- Be excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
