My client is looking for a seasoned IT Programme manager, who has experience in working on Data Centre migration projects. PMP certified and has PMO experience. This is a permanent position.
Job Description:
- Plan, Execute and Deliver assigned program and projects to success
- Create and manage the project budget, resource, project plan; agrees and reviews the plans, costs and resources with the ITPMO, steering committee members, and project sponsors.
- Ensure all project commitments are met; monitor and report on progress in accordance to the defined requirements.
- Diagnose and evaluate potential risks and issues throughout the project and define the mitigation plans. Report regularly to the project sponsors and steering committees with regard to such risks and executing appropriate plans to contain them.
- Ensure appropriate standards are adopted and that effective quality controls are built into the project plan and mechanisms are in place to assure it.
- Ensure appropriate change management processes are implemented.
- Identify and manage relationships through effective communication with all stakeholders including third parties and acts as the primary point of contact.
- Identify, acquire and deploy team members and manage third parties to ensure successful project execution.
- Able to report and present project status, work plan, and issue precisely to upper management and demonstrate the leadership capability.
- Participate and contribute positively to create a diverse and inclusive culture with trust and respect. Play an active role to support cross team/division/department efforts and model collaborative behaviors.
Requirement:
- Degree or above qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 15 years of work experience in an IT environment with 8 or more years of experience in project management of medium to large scale IT Infrastructure projects.
- PMP certification is a MUST
- Data centre migration Project experience is a MUST
- 70% hands-on PM role and 30% PMO governance role
- Good at MS Excel (Pivot table and vlookup is a must)
- Track record of relevant experience in IT infrastructure / operations implementation projects.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure technical or operation domains.
- Solid understanding of ITIL.
- Strong self-initiation, problem solving skills and can-do spirit.
- Solid understanding and practical application of program management practices (e.g. PMP or Agile/Scrum).
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in English language skills (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Cantonese (in both written and spoken) will have an advantage.
