About the Role:

A global reinsurance and insurance organisation is seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to join their Life Pricing team, focusing on protection accounts in specific regions. This position involves contributing to the broader pricing community and supporting the company's strategic goals in life and health products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Process: Participate in pricing and tendering for new and existing opportunities, with emphasis on specific life and critical illness product lines.
  • Deal Modelling & Execution: Perform detailed modelling and pricing tasks, including data analysis, mortality and morbidity studies, demographic analysis, cash-flow projections, and reconciliations.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare technical deal documents and provide support for commercial leads, including pricing reports, drafting memos, client offer letters, and negotiation assistance.
  • Research & Development: Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of pricing benchmarks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Collaborate with in-force management and valuation teams to analyse and follow up on the performance of the existing portfolio.
  • Client Engagement: Attend client meetings to support relationship building and develop client-specific solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualification as an Actuary with membership in a recognised professional body.
  • At least 5 years of experience in reinsurance or insurance, with a focus on relevant product lines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R) and the MS Office suite.
  • Experience with actuarial modelling tools (e.g., AXIS, Risk Agility, Prophet) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of life insurance and critical illness products is beneficial.
