Oliver James is working with a well known international Financial Services firm in Hong Kong to find them a Technical Architect who will lead the technical teams in delivering micro-service platforms across the region.
This is considered a senior position reporting directly to the CTO you will lead and manage the overall architectural design which is centred around business applications and solutions.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience working in regional positions and can articulate complex technical designs to a business audience.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical architect or project-related technical roles, with a proven track record in terms of leading initiatives from initiation to completion, of which 5+ years of experience leading teams, ideally with both direct and matrix reports
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, or equivalent work experience
- Significant hands-on experience with system administration, programming (Node.js, Typescript, HTML & CSS), cloud technologies (AWS), API development, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), database administration (MongoDB, Postgres), CI/CD (Jenkins, Terraform)
- Proven experience evaluating and recommending new technologies and programming frameworks to meet business and project objectives, working closely with developer teams to implement and manage
- Solid experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies, including using Agile tools to manage backlogs and products iterations (e.g. Azure DevOps)
