The Supplier Risk Governance Analysts sits with Procurement Services, Supplier Risk & Transformation function which is responsible for the daily oversight and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Source-to-Pay process.

Our function monitors systems and processes for the wider Procurement teams to ensure all spend is sourced, risk assessed and managed in a controlled and documented environment in line with industry standard methodologies.

With over €1bn in spend YoY, the Procurement Services, Supplier Risk & Transformation function will ensure key tollgates are positioned across the process, supported by technology, to identify and negotiate opportunities, target and mitigate risk while pushing spend through an efficient and controlled pipeline to payment.

Our team also define and deploy a governance framework for leading 3rd party relationships throughout the bank to identify and mitigate against both organisational and performance-based risk to protect the bank when engaging 3rd parties for goods and services.

We facilitate the effective purchase of goods and services across the Bank. We do so with the aim of enhancing value from our total spend whilst protecting against supplier risk.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to provide appropriate oversight and assurance that supplier due diligence, assessments and reporting is completed by the Bank`s outsourced provider in adherence to the required schedule and Bank standards.

Accountability for supplier due diligence and governance remains with the Bank.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with Outsource Service Provider and Bank Retained Team to maintain and improve the standard of supplier risk management and supplier due diligence
  • Complete comprehensive supplier due diligence reviews in adherence to Group Procurement and Group Policy requirements for suppliers that fall outside the remit of the Bank outsource partner and special projects as required
  • Provide risk, compliance and governance related data analytics and associated management reporting in particular tracking that the required cadence of supplier due diligence reviews and assessments is being met
  • Deliver ongoing tracking and reporting of open issues to ensure all are updated in a timely manner and do not go overdue
  • Support assurance reviews and audits relating to supplier due diligence
  • Respond to requests for information/evidence on key suppliers.
  • Respond to supplier due diligence contract queries and guidance requests
  • Support other relevant Risk, controls and Analytics activity that the role may require

About You

You possess an analytical, logical and interpretive ability to interpret scenarios, express concepts and maintain consistency with a high standard of numerical and verbal literacy and consistency.

The ideal candidate will also have the ability to:

Essential Qualifications

Relevant academic qualifications and/ or business experience particularly in procurement or relationship management.

Critical Skills / Experience:

    • Knowledge of Financial Services Qualifications System (FSQS) and how FSQS underpins supplier due diligence.
    • Experience of Third-Party Risk Management, supplier relationship management and knowledge of Outsourcing Regulatory requirements
    • Good knowledge of Supplier Risk Frameworks
    • Knowledge of risk and control reporting processes
    • Knowledge of out-sourcing contracts and willingness to work with external suppliers
    • Knowledge of end-to-end procurement and supplier management processes
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

  • University degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • A professional qualification in Procurement e.g., CPSM, CIPs, IIPMM
  • Experience of Banking, Financial Services or other regulated
