You are required to support ongoing strategic projects and delivering operational process improvement and change management within Finance. Another key aspect of the roles is to develop a strong understanding of interfaces and the systems they come from.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with excellent systems knowledge and a highly numerate / analytical mindset who is seeking a permanent position, with excellent progression opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead finance system integration and implementation process and support training and post system go live
  • Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues
  • Managing system upgrades with the IT department
  • Designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data
  • Reviewing and maintaining financial systems policies, procedures and process mapping
  • Collaborating with IT and financial staff to meet business requirements
  • Troubleshooting and fixing finance related system issues
  • Training and supporting finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
  • Working with the IT team to design delivery schedules of systems development
  • Working with business intelligence software
  • Manage resolution of issues working closely with finance IT project team to ensure that optimum system performance is maintained
  • Learn and understand our POS system end to end and understand interfaces into SAP
  • Training and supporting finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
  • Support system integrations on new company acquisitions and mergers
  • Other ad hoc projects as required by Senior Management team

Skills:

  • Significant financial analysis and numerical capability
  • Applied strategic thinking and complex problem solving
  • Broad experience and knowledge of accounting systems including systems development
  • Experience working in project and BAU environments
  • Strong team player, yet comfortable to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros and SAP Finance applications
  • Detailed and methodical by nature with a strong process orientation
  • Efficiency in prioritising workloads with the capacity to be flexible in balancing priorities.
  • A customer-centric attitude
  • Experience of working on a change or upgrade of an ERP system
