Our client is a multi-national financial services organisation, with extensive operations across APAC & Greater China. We are looking for a talented individual to lead their Third Party Risk programme based out of Hong Kong.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join the Asia team to support our clients Third Party progamme management and sourcing activities in the region. We are ideally looking for profiles with strong third party risk, sourcing and vendor management experience. Ideally with exposure to the Greater China market.


Responsibilities

The role shall foster regional/global consistency where possible, by executing the following key responsibilities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate highly effective oral and written communication skills in English (mandarin a plus), an ability to work independently and understand the vendors and industry practices in region.

  • Responsible for managing and leading the Firm's TPPM activities.
  • Support the Business Units (BUs) in their Outsourcing review, in line with the Firm's Guiding Principles on Outsourcing and cross boarder data transfer/storage
  • Main point of contact for all Greater China Outsourcing activities (both inter-affiliate and third party) across all BUs
  • Provide support for various Sourcing activities required such as evaluation/analysis phases, bidder reviews and interviews, negotiations, vendor management, etc.
  • Enhance the credibility of the function by working closely with internal business partners whilst demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism and commercial/legal expertise
  • Liaise with in-house Legal and ensure contracts for both external and inter-affiliate are executed within the agreed project timelines
  • Foster a positive team environment encompassing all job categories and functions within the Firm
  • Liaise with senior internal stakeholders (Technology, Legal and Compliance, Finance, other BUs), as well as external vendors
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related degree program
  • 10+ years' experience in third party risk, including outsourcing and data, strategic sourcing contract negotiation, with a demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Effective communication to lead and influence a diverse group of businesses and people (cross-cultural)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; successful candidate must be able to analyze offers, business cases (including financial reports), processes and present a summary quantifying differences in a clear concise manner
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and multi-tasking, proactive and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
