This is an opportunity for a Wordings Counsel to support the Claims and Underwriting counsel in the drafting, and advising on, of wordings for all classes of business. To assist in the negotiation and drafting of wordings.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for developing the wordings strategy in conjunction with the Claims and Underwriting Counsel and underwriting teams through workshops.
- Designing and implementing a process for using technology to perform a checking service for wordings.
- Design and maintain management information in support of the wordings strategy
- You will be providing regular training sessions for junior team members and junior members of the underwriting teams as required.
Requirements:
- You will have lead projects relevant to wordings and to serve as a best practice/quality resource across the business
- Experience of insurance policy legislation
- Experience of direct contact with external parties (such as Brokers)
- Good working knowledge of underwriting systems and underwriting processes
- Expert knowledge of delegated underwriting contracts
