Our client, a leading company in the Insurance industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their Finance department in Barcelona on a permanent basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsibility for day-to-day accounting activities for France, Luxembourg and Belgium branches
Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices and payments
New vendor set up and maintenance
Preparation of manual payments and bank transfers
Performance of bookkeeping activities (e.g. journals, expenses, bank etc.)
- Independent preparation of monthly bank and other balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Act as a liaison person locally to assist the tax team regarding VAT and income tax information
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in accounts payable and accounting processes, preferably in France (4/5 years at least)
- Native or fluent French speaker, fluent English
- Knowledgeable of accounting and tax practices in France
- Experience with Concur and SAP
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective time-management and organisational skills
