We have an exciting new opportunity with an exciting Re-insurer who are seeking an Accountant Consultant. Located in Zurich, the business have cemented themselves as a market leading Re-insurer. Operating across traditional reinsurance coverage and niche speciality products, our client offers a diverse portfolio alongside positive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside the existing team to audit and consultant in line with local GAAP accounting policy
- Assistance and preparation of annual reports and financial statements
- Quality assessment and assurance of processes, reporting, operational efficiency and transactions
- Cross team collaboration on a variety of finance related products
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reinsurance accounting
- Assisting in the development and implementation of reinsurance accounting policies and procedures
Required Experience
- Minimum of 7 years Accounting / Audit experience
- Experience within (Re)Insurance
- Familiar with Swiss code of obligations and knowledge of IFRS
- Analytical mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and German
