A leading specialty insurer operating across the US and Europe, is seeking an Accounting Lead to join their team. This Client is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company. With their massive growth, they are expanding their businesses in the US and are hiring to grow the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative insurance business.
Job Title: Accounting Lead
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and post monthly general ledger journal entries.
- Monitor and maintain accounts payable records and process the payment of all invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete accounting reconciliations including bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inter-company and technical underwriting balances.
- Maintain a monthly financial close timetable
- Prepare management accounts including analytical review
- Prepare financial analysis to support the activities of outsourced service providers.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in insurance
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Financial, commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on one's own initiative
Compensation: $80K - $120K base
