As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for migrating, deploying, and managing applications and services in an Azure cloud environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure services, infrastructure as code, and best practices for cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions on the Azure platform.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure applications are designed with cloud best practices.
- Lead the migration of on-premises applications to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates for automated and repeatable deployments.
- Develop and implement security best practices for Azure environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure services to meet service level objectives.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM templates).
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
