Oliver James is delighted to be partnering with a GI Insurer to appoint a Chief Risk Officer for the Irish entity and a senior member of the Group Risk function.
This position will have the successful candidate ensuring that the risk management framework operated effectively for both the local and wider group perspective while also represent risk management at board committees and executive committees.
The day-to-day responsibilities for the role will focus on all three lines of defence while focusing on 2nd line oversight with regards to supporting the businesses risk culture across the group.
- Supporting the annual review of the business with a focus on risk appetites.
- arranging bi-annual risk assessments
- preparing risk management reports
- providing risk management induction training
- working collaboratively with other risk managers
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years within Insurance/Reinsurance background ideally with general insurance experience. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of risk management and SolvencyII and previous experience working with international insurance groups.
