We are currently looking for a Data Modeler for a client of ours in the financial services space.
You will be playing a vital role in their finance transformation initiatives. You'll be responsible for crafting and implementing data models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis. This involves closely collaborating with stakeholders to grasp business needs and translate them into logical and physical data models. Working alongside various teams such as the IT Delivery Lead, Data Solution Architect, data engineering architects, database administrators, and developers, you'll ensure that these models are finely tuned for performance, scalability, and usability to achieve the desired business outcomes.
Your tasks will include organizing, structuring, and representing data to facilitate efficient management, analysis, and reporting. You'll design, implement, and maintain data models for the finance data repository, aligning with both current Proof of Value (PoV) requirements and future business use cases. Additionally, you'll provide support to the IT Delivery team throughout the finance data repository build, focusing on logical data model design, transformation logic, and data quality logic within Prudential frameworks.
Your responsibilities also extend to developing and maintaining entity-relationship diagrams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, offering technical advice, conducting data profiling, and ensuring data quality analysis aligns with the firm's frameworks and standard practices. Moreover, you'll uphold data security, compliance, and governance standards, drawing from your in-depth knowledge of sound systems design principles and practices.
