Oliver James have partnered with a Re-Insurance firm to find a Delivery Lead, responsible for the development life-cycle of systems and platforms. This is a new and critical role to ensure the detailed pipeline of development work is successfully delivered, whilst implementing development life-cycle best practice and focusing on delivery and optimisation.
This is a fast paced and evolving environment with a delivery-focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Matrix manage a team of modellers and developers
- Own the E2E development life-cycle
- Ensure business requirements are in place, supporting high quality delivery
- Own the change governance framework, change process, customer engagement and chair the change forum
- Develop and management a framework
- Manage the release management process, ensuring delivery times and customer expectations met
- Develop and maintain stakeholder management / engagement as well as 3rd parties/vendors
- Product MI on development progress against objectives
- Work with design authorities to ensure changes are developed in line with agreed design authority/best practice
- Produce and maintain testing frameworks
- Identify continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Skills / Experience:
- Experience in delivering E2E development life-cycle
- Budget and resource management experience
- Expert experience in planning and executing complex delivery pipelines
- Experience driving change and process improvement
- Able to identify risks and issues and mitigate appropriately
- Strong stakeholder management and business engagement
- Ability to cope well in an evolving environment
- Come with a hands-on approach
- Leadership to technical teams
- Experience/Management of Workflow, Test Management tools, e.g. Jira, Zephyr
- Preferable experience within the Insurance industry
