Oliver James is partnered with an established Payments firm as they appoint a Financial Accountant into the firm.
This newly created role has come about due to growth within the firm over the 2023 year and will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements set out by the CBI.
- This position will focus on but not be limited to the following day-to-day duties;
- preparing monthly and annual financial accounts for the firm.
- leading the development and maintenance of budgets, forecasts, and finance Management Information (MI) packs.
- analysing the underlying business drivers of performance to inform strategic decision-making.
- Draft financial information into actionable insights will be essential as you prepare reports for presentation to the Board
- creating an annual Operational Resolution/Wind Up Plan, assessing stress scenarios to ensure robustness in planning.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in regulatory reporting, financial accounting, and budgeting, along with strong analytic skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively. Previous experience in Board reporting, VAT compliance, project management, and system testing will be advantageous.
