We're looking for an experienced Head of Software Development to join an industry leading organisation that is currently going through a period of growth due to continued success!
Our client is a reputable organisation within their industry, dedicated to providing exceptional services, solutions and experiences to the communities they serve.
You'd be joining in a varied role that takes ownership over the delivery of all Software & Development initiatives and projects. Looking after both off the shelf and bespoke applications.
With a handful of direct reports and teams under them, a large proportion of the Development resource is outsourced and therefore you'd be responsible for managing those 3rd party and vendor relationships.
Core Responsibilities:
- To Lead and Manager the IT Applications & Development team, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of projects.
- Managing the delivery of multiple Software initiatives and projects. Overseeing the design, development, testing and deployment of applications
- Define & implement best practice, methodologies and standards for software development, deployment & release management
- Be an example and lead from the front for software delivery, showcasing the benefits of Agile & Scrum - assisting other teams to transition.
- Manage the relationship with 3rd party resources and vendors, holding them accountable to deliverable agreed.
- Have a strong technical background and deep understanding of software development methodologies.
This is a varied role with a large emphasis on the delivery of multiple projects and new initiatives. You'll oversee the build and delivery of new platforms and therefore proven experience of this is key to the role.
We're also looking for someone who is confident within the Microsoft and Azure tech stack.
