Our client is a multi-national consumer organisation looking for a Head of Procurement to manage their FM/Retail and Supply Chain categories.

Reporting into the Chief Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the below:

  • Motivating and coaching Procurement teams in the markets mentioned above.
  • Setting annual objectives and managing performance in accordance with company policies.
  • Supporting, leading & delivering the strategic workstreams as part of the Procurement transformation programme.
  • Ensuring that team adhere to spend controls and procurement policies
  • Delivering strategic procurement projects including:
    • Conducting market research on procurement categories
    • Gathering and analyzing internal spend and supplier performance data
    • Agreeing and setting complex procurement strategies including negotiation strategies
    • Agreeing appropriate contract terms and commercial schedules for the procurement project
    • Drafting and/or quality assuring their own procurements and that of the team members
    • Launching procurements via the e-Sourcing tool
    • Agreeing evaluation approach and educating stakeholders on evaluation methodology

What we are looking for:

  • Engage and work with multiple senior stakeholders across the markets and the responsible Functional Executives. Engage in strategic sourcing activity to drive real value to internal customers and identify tangible savings as a result.
  • Lead in procurement and contract negotiations for large projects
  • Have a strong risk mindset including identifying and managing mitigation and contingency actions
  • Agree appropriate contract management approaches for procurement projects and assess supplier performance, promoting continuous improvement and innovation
  • 10 to 15 years procurement experience either in Supply Chain, Facilities Management, Construction and Retail Operations.
  • Experience of working in a procurement team and/or in a retail and multi-market preferred.
  • Ambition to continue to develop a career in procurement.
  • Experience of leading multiple teams across different cultures and being able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong numeracy and analytical skills
