A reputable financial services client of ours is looking for an Infrastructure Lead of approximately 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, service delivery, and operational support with leadership experience. This role ensures efficient IT service across local and regional offices, aligning closely with business goals to drive operational excellence and support growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with local and regional business objectives. Forecast future needs and plan for scalability and efficiency improvements. Prepare and validate business plans and budgets with group companies, ensuring timely execution within scope and budget.

  • IT Service Management: Lead and improve IT service delivery processes. Ensure services meet agreed levels and support business operations effectively. Oversee incident, problem, change management, and service request fulfilment processes.

  • Infrastructure Management: Manage regional IT infrastructure design, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement (networks, servers, storage). Ensure security, availability, and performance. Maintain accurate documentation and manage IT assets.

  • Operational Support: Support local and regional IT systems and infrastructure, including maintenance, monitoring, incident resolution, procurement, inventory, and user support/training.

  • Vendor Management: Manage external vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget. Evaluate performance, negotiate contracts and SLAs for optimal service and cost efficiency.

  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Develop and manage infrastructure and service management budgets. Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial efficiency. Handle procurement processes accurately and timely.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor IT professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Emphasize customer-centricity and quality deliverables. Manage work schedules, training, and skill development.

  • Project & Initiative Execution: Provide direction on infrastructure-related aspects across projects and initiatives. Implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and operations optimisation.

  • IT Governance, Compliance, Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and mitigate IT operational risks. Manage audits by internal/external auditors and regulatory bodies.


  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years in IT infrastructure management, with 10 years in senior leadership.
  • Expertise in IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), project management, and financial/insurance services.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, visualisation, network security, and enterprise platforms.
  • Certification in IT service management (e.g., ITIL) or project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
