This role you will prepare and analyze internal and external investment accounting and related analytical reports. You will also prepare annual and quarterly regulatory statements on all investments such as bonds, derivatives, equity, mortgage loans, etc.
- Record, verify, and reconcile transactions within the investment system, ensuring accuracy and balance in the general ledger for investment accounts.
- Compile annual and quarterly regulatory statements for state regulators, covering diverse investment types such as long-term bonds, derivatives, equity, limited partnerships, mortgage loans, and short-term investments.
- Generate comprehensive investment accounting reports and analyses, distributing them to internal and external stakeholders, including Corporate Accounting, Actuarial, Investments, and Business Unit leaders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data users, addressing inquiries related to security master file setups, investment trends, and system functionalities, while also serving as a backup for system administrator duties.
- Continuously refine and enrich data within investment systems, focusing on holdings, transactions, and security master file data to maintain data integrity.
- Coordinate and assist external auditors as necessary, providing support relevant to investment accounting areas during external audits.
- Leverage expertise in the investment portfolio to support Corporate Accounting's strategic objectives and priorities.
- Identify and execute continuous process improvements, fostering innovation and proactively adapting to upcoming changes, evaluating them objectively and embracing new work processes with enthusiasm.
