Investment Accounting Specialist
Location: Amsterdam
Salary: €75,000 - €105,000 (based on 40 hours per week)
Are you an experienced Investment Accounting Specialist seeking a new challenge in a dynamic environment? Athora Netherlands is currently looking for an Investment Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting & Reporting department.
You will be responsible for setting accounting guidance for new investments, writing accounting position papers, and analyzing quarterly IFRS results related to the asset side of our balance sheet. This position offers a unique opportunity for career development.

Responsibilities:
- Set standards and guidance for accounting implications of company developments, specifically investment-related
- Act as a bridge between multiple domains to drive strategic initiatives
- Serve as a sparring partner on complex financial and strategic subjects with external stakeholders
- Play a key role in the analysis of quarterly financial results
Requirements:
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Qualified Accounting professional with at least 8 years of experience in Investment Accounting/auditing in financial services
- Extended knowledge of financial and capital markets, financial instruments, and investments, preferably IFRS 9
- Knowledge of Solvency II is an advantage
Personal Capabilities:
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Independent thinker with credibility in front of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in English
- A good sense of humour
