IT Project Manager - Conglomerate - HK

A large Conglomerate is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver complex technology projects. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and implementation of strategic IT initiatives across multiple departments and business units.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end project management life-cycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  3. Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  4. Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment among stakeholders, team members, and external vendors.
  5. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues to ensure timely project delivery.
  6. Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  7. Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  8. Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate project updates to key stakeholders and senior management.
  9. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project life-cycle.
  10. Continuously evaluate project outcomes, capturing lessons learned and driving process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent command of the English language.
  2. 5+ years of Project Manager experience.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale IT projects within a complex organisational environment.
  4. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  7. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the capacity to navigate through ambiguity.
