IT Project Manager - Conglomerate - HK
A large Conglomerate is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver complex technology projects. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and implementation of strategic IT initiatives across multiple departments and business units.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end project management life-cycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment among stakeholders, team members, and external vendors.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate project updates to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project life-cycle.
- Continuously evaluate project outcomes, capturing lessons learned and driving process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language.
- 5+ years of Project Manager experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale IT projects within a complex organisational environment.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the capacity to navigate through ambiguity.
