Manager - Business Development Manager
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + 2 Company Schemes

Reports to: VP Marketing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Responsible for maintaining strong company-agent relationships and services. Supporting VP of Marketing by analyzing insurance marketplace activities/results, working on rate filings in various states, and reviewing and quantifying marketing results. Identify and soliciting new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies and properly qualifies potential business opportunities and agents. Manages own accounts/agency programs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with decision makers and staff of target and client agencies.
- Workup presentations for VP of Marketing to present to decision makers in target agencies.
- Assists VP of Marketing to negotiate terms of contracts.
- Coordinates with company staff and outside service providers for the writing and issuance of agency agreements; company licensing for the line of business being written; rate, rules and forms filings for the product being written.
- Attends various insurance marketing conferences to meet potential agents and support existing programs.
- Troubleshoots any problems that arise between various company departments and agent/entity.
- Monitors competitor products, marketing activities, and market experiences.
- Travels and works beyond normal business hours as required.
- Visits potential and existing clients.
- Assists VP of Marketing with interaction and reinsurers regarding pricing for potential and existing programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of the property and casualty insurance business and products.
- Experience marketing insurance products to agents.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of financial statements.
