A global partner of Oliver James is seeking a DevOps Engineer for their Finance Platform. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in facilitating the development of common Services platforms that will suppport the Group's expansion. Please note that this is an on-site FTE role based in Greensboro, NC and at this point my client will not consider sponsorship or C2C.
- Partner with development team to oversee and facilitate code releases or deployments on a CI/CD basis.
- Identify repetitive tasks that slow down releases andd support automation of these tasks.
- Drive continuous improvement, by structuring and optimizing release cycles and introduce new ways of moving the process along (new software, for example)
- Monitor production and provide feedback to reduce 'time to detect' (TTD) and 'time to minimize' (TTM) the errors.
- Drive and Implement Devops using Automation tools, Source Code Control, Containerization software, Configuration Management tools, Repository Management Software and Project Management tools.I
- Implement a security-focused DevOps (DevSecOps), keeping security central in teams work, including automation of key processes, release schedules and infrastructure design.
- Ensure set up of proper process and tools for tracking change requests for the finance platform.
- Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across the business engine platform portfolio.
- Manage risk and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
- Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates.
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
- Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
- Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required and maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
- Continuous Improvement: Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyze their application to current configuration management needs.
