Sr. Underwriter - Technical Risk Property (Boston)
Our client is a leading carrier in technical risk property market. Currently seeking a motivated individual to join their Underwriting department in Boston, MA.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and analyze Property Insurance policies
- Specialize in E&S Property Insurance
- Assess risks related to Power Generation, Onshore/Offshore Drilling, Petrochemical plants, Coal Power plants, Nuclear Power plants, Oil & Gas Power plants, Renewables, Refineries, and Manufacturers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate underwriting decisions in accordance to risk appetite
- Maintain and grow relationships with brokers and clients
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Complex Property Insurance (Energy property, large property)
- Strong knowledge of E&S Property Insurance
- Deep knowledge of various risk factors in the technical property industry
- Experience handling large accounts
- Ability to market with brokers, achieve new business, and travel as necessary for broker & site visits
- Excellent communication and analytic skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
